Phi Theta Kappa (Honors Society)

Purpose and Services

PTK strives to promote and create opportunities in research, leadership volunteer work, soft skill development. Through these opportunities, members are able to engage with college administrators and the community while obtaining necessary experience desired by universities. In recognizing scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship, PTK allows for an intellectual climate for exchange of all ideas while continuing academic excellence for all members and interested students.

Demonstrate undergraduate research methods by gathering credible sources; implement plan of action to solve real world problem within community. Support IVC's mission. Engage with college administration in identifying the need for IVC and create learning experience to benefit the campus. Focus on "soft skill" development for students to take into their transfer institution as well as professional career. Host volunteer, fundraising activities to engage with students and raise funds for upcoming conferences and convention.

Meeting Information

The Phi Theta Kappa (Honors Society) general meetings are scheduled to meet biweekly on Wednesday at 3:30 pm in TBD.
